About This Tool

Why use Emoji Previewer?

Pick emoji for a subject line from a curated set grouped by the job they do — urgency, growth, special, offer, communication and trust — and build the line with them in place so you can see how it actually reads before you send.

The set is deliberately small. A general emoji picker gives you thousands of characters, almost none of which belong in a business subject line, and many of which render inconsistently or not at all across mail clients. These are the ones that work in email and are recognisable everywhere. Keep to one: a single relevant emoji can lift open rates in consumer email, while several read as spam and tend to reduce them.

Key Benefits

Grouped by purpose

Urgency, growth, offer, communication and trust, so you are choosing by the message you want to send rather than scrolling an alphabet.

Curated for email

A small set that renders reliably across mail clients, rather than thousands of characters that mostly do not belong in a subject line.

See the whole line

The emoji is placed into your actual subject line, so you judge how it reads in context rather than in isolation.

Emoji Previewer FAQs

Do emojis increase open rates?

One relevant emoji can, in consumer email. Several usually reduce them, and in formal B2B they often hurt regardless of number. Test with your own audience rather than assuming.

Will the emoji look the same for everyone?

No. Apple, Google, Microsoft and Samsung each draw their own version, so the same character looks different on different devices. The ones here are chosen to stay recognisable across all of them.

Can an emoji trigger a spam filter?

One will not. A line stuffed with several, especially alongside urgency words and capitals, is a pattern that filters do recognise.

Where should the emoji go?

Usually at the start, where it is visible before mobile truncation cuts the line. At the end it is often the first thing lost.
