Why use Birthday Countdown?
Enter your date of birth and this tool counts the days until your next birthday, the age you will turn, the weekday it falls on and your zodiac sign. If the date has already passed this year, it counts to next year's instead.
The weekday is the useful part for planning: a birthday on a Saturday gets a different celebration from one on a Tuesday. Because 365 is not divisible by 7, birthdays move forward one weekday each year, or two across a leap year.

How many days until my birthday?
Enter your date of birth and the countdown is calculated from today to the next occurrence of that day and month.
Why does my birthday fall on a different weekday each year?
A common year is 365 days, which is 52 weeks plus one day, so the weekday shifts forward by one — and by two when a 29 February falls in between.
What happens with a 29 February birthday?
In common years it is generally observed on 28 February or 1 March. The countdown targets the next actual 29 February.
How are zodiac signs decided?
By fixed date ranges, for example Leo from 23 July to 22 August. Boundary dates can shift by a day depending on the year and the system used.
