Why use EPUB to MOBI?
This tool does not produce MOBI files yet, and says so rather than handing back a renamed EPUB. Writing a MOBI means generating Amazon's binary Palm-database structure and its compression schemes, which is not in the browser build.
Before looking for another converter, check whether you need one. Amazon retired MOBI from Send to Kindle in 2022, and modern Kindles handle EPUB directly — emailing the EPUB to your Send to Kindle address converts it at Amazon's end. If you are working with an old device that genuinely needs MOBI, Calibre will produce one for free on any desktop platform.
