About This Tool
Why use URL Encoder/Decoder?
Encode text for safe use in a URL, or decode a percent-encoded string back into readable characters. Spaces become %20, & becomes %26 and accented or non-Latin characters are encoded as their UTF-8 bytes.
Decoding is the more common need day to day: tracking links, redirect chains and analytics reports are full of encoded URLs that are hard to read. Paste one here and the original address, including any nested URL, becomes legible again.
Key Benefits
Two-way conversion
Encoding for building links, decoding for reading them.
Nested URLs made readable
Redirect parameters that contain another encoded URL decode back into a normal address.
Runs in the browser
Campaign links and internal URLs are not sent anywhere.

URL Encoder/Decoder FAQs
Why do URLs contain characters like %20 and %3A?
Only a limited set of characters is allowed in a URL. Everything else is replaced by a percent sign and the character's byte value, so %20 is a space and %3A is a colon.
Does encoding change how the page ranks?
No, but readable URLs are easier to share and click. Use hyphens and lower-case letters in slugs so encoding is rarely needed in the path.
Can I decode a URL that was encoded twice?
Yes — decode it again. Double encoding turns % into %25, so a single pass leaves %20 visible in the output.
Is it safe to paste internal URLs here?
Yes. Conversion happens in your browser and nothing is uploaded.
