About This Tool

Why use Excel to PDF?

Turn a spreadsheet into a PDF that anyone can open. The workbook is read with SheetJS and each sheet's rows are laid out as a proper table in the PDF using jsPDF's autoTable, so columns stay aligned instead of collapsing into a run of comma-separated text.

Sending an .xlsx invites edits, version confusion and a request for the software to open it. A PDF is fixed, opens on any phone, and is what most finance and procurement systems expect. Formulas are converted to the values they currently show, because a PDF has nothing to recalculate — check that your sheet is up to date before you convert.

Key Benefits

Real tables, not text

Rows and columns are drawn as a table with borders and aligned cells, so the PDF is readable rather than a dump of values.

Reads .xlsx and .xls

Both the modern and the legacy Excel formats are supported, so older files do not need converting twice.

Nothing uploaded

Payroll, pricing and budget sheets are parsed in the browser, so the numbers never reach anyone else's server.

Excel to PDF FAQs

Are formulas preserved?

No. A PDF cannot recalculate, so formulas are converted to the values they currently display. Make sure the sheet is up to date before converting.

What happens to very wide spreadsheets?

Wide sheets can overflow the page width. Hide unnecessary columns, or set the print area and orientation in Excel first, then convert.

Does it convert every sheet in the workbook?

Yes. Each sheet is laid out in turn, so a multi-sheet workbook produces one PDF covering all of them.

Is the file uploaded?

No. The workbook is read and the PDF built in your browser, so the data stays on your device.
