About This Tool
Why use PDF Split?
Pull specific pages out of a PDF into a new file. Enter a range such as 1-3, or mix ranges and single pages like 1-2, 5, 9, and the tool copies exactly those pages into a fresh PDF with pdf-lib. Page numbers are the ones printed in your reader, counting from 1.
Because pages are copied rather than re-rendered, everything on them is preserved exactly: fonts, images, vector graphics, form fields and signatures come through untouched, and the new file is genuinely smaller rather than a re-encoded version of the whole document. This is the tool for sending one chapter, one invoice or one signed page instead of the entire file.
Key Benefits
Ranges and single pages
Mix formats freely: 1-3, 7, 12-14 in one box, rather than running the tool once per section.
Pages copied, not re-rendered
Images, vector graphics and embedded fonts are carried over byte for byte, so nothing loses quality.
Smaller, shareable files
Sending three pages instead of eighty keeps attachments under mail size limits and stops people reading what they should not.

PDF Split FAQs
How do I write the page range?
Use hyphens for ranges and commas to separate them: 1-3 gives the first three pages, and 1-2, 5, 9 gives pages one, two, five and nine. Page numbers start at 1.
What happens if I ask for a page that does not exist?
The split fails and you are asked to check the range. Confirm the document's page count in your reader and try again.
Does splitting reduce quality?
No. Pages are copied whole, so images, fonts and vector graphics are identical to the original.
Can I get each page as its own file?
The tool produces one PDF containing the pages you selected. To get pages individually, run it once per page, or use PDF to JPG if you want images instead.
