Quick Tip

About This Tool

Why use PDF to JPG?

Render every page of a PDF as a JPG image. Pages are drawn with pdf.js at twice their natural size — roughly 144 DPI instead of the PDF standard 72 — and saved as JPEGs, so text stays crisp when you drop the image into a slide, a document or a web page.

Unlike a text extraction tool, this captures exactly what the page looks like: layout, fonts, charts, signatures and scanned pages all come through, because it is a picture of the page. You can download pages one at a time, or take the whole set as a ZIP when the PDF runs to dozens of pages.

Key Benefits

Rendered at 2x scale

Pages are drawn at double size before being saved, so the text in the JPG is sharp rather than soft and pixelated.

Every page at once

The whole document is converted in one pass with a progress indicator, and the pages can be downloaded together as a ZIP.

Exact visual copy

Because each page is rendered rather than parsed, charts, signatures and scanned pages all survive the conversion.

PDF to JPG FAQs

What resolution are the images?

Pages are rendered at twice their natural size, so an A4 page comes out around 1240 x 1754 pixels — roughly 144 DPI, which is sharp on screen and fine for most documents.

Can I convert only certain pages?

The tool renders every page, then lets you download just the ones you want. To convert a subset only, split the PDF first and run the shorter file through.

Should I choose JPG or PNG for a PDF page?

JPG is right when the page is mostly text or photographs and you want a small file. PNG is better for pages that are line art, screenshots or diagrams with flat colour, where JPEG compression shows artefacts around edges.

Does it work on scanned PDFs?

Yes. This tool draws the page rather than reading its text, so scans convert perfectly — it is one of the few PDF tools where a scan is not a problem.
